THE COMING SEMI-ANNUAL CONVENTION

The preparations of the Council grounds at Tibbets’ Grove at Prospect Avenue began one week ahead of the convention.  Some improvements will be made over previous conventions.

Mr. Tibbet1, on his arrival, immediately proceeded to put things in shape, as he is very anxious for some big features.  He has received a good many letters from influential people, both Indian and white friends from far and near, that they will attend the convention if nothing prevents them.

Once more the people of the Federation will concentrate in one body and mind – armed in the holy cause for justice.  They will come from far and near.  These few months they have been organized they have established themselves with determination to solve their problems with the aid of their good Government through sentiments of the public at large.

1.  Founder of the Mission Indian Federation, Tibbets worked in Indian reform.
